It is also used to relieve irritation of the vulva (external thrush) and irritation of the end of the penis.
How does clotrimazole 1% cream work?

How do you use clotrimazole 1% cream?
Our Superintendent Pharmacist recommends applying clotrimazole 1% cream to the affected area twice a day, or as directed by your doctor. Ensure that skin is clean and dry before application.
As an anti-fungal topical treatment, clotrimazole 1% cream is only effective when applied to fungal skin infections. It should not be used to treat bacterial or viral skin infections. If you are unsure whether you, or your child, have a fungal skin infection, seek professional medical advice.
